Elephants
African Elephants have been hunted for years with their ivory tusks the principal goal. More recently the destruction of their habitat through farming and climate change have accelerated the decline in numbers with the population decreasing by over 60% in the last 50 years.
Although the numbers remaining appear to be high, their rate of decline is so fast they are considered to be endangered.
