Pink Dolphins
Pink Dolphins or 'Botos', as they are called in Portuguese, are the brightest mammals on the planet, because they are bright pink and bright intellectually, their brain capacity is 40% greater than human beings! Even more extraordinary is their ability to turn their heads 180 degrees - to look up or down as they swim along, imagine being able to swivel your head around to look behind you! They can do this because the vertebrae in their spine are not fused together.
These gorgeous mammals live in freshwater and can only be found in the Amazon River where they face the many threats of living too close to people who hunt them. We lose 1,500 Botos a year with the total population decreasing by half every 10 years.
Your trees help people, plants and animals, by creating jobs for the people who make your bands and plant your trees, and your trees provide animals with a home and reduce global warming by absorbing the 'C'arbon in CO2 (the principal cause of global warming) and releasing the 'O2'xygen back into the air. Thank you for helping the people, plants and animals to preserve our habitat.
