It started with a kid's hobby in Covid, making beaded bracelets with designs inspired by endangered animals.

"We promise to make you smile, while we try to make a difference."

Sept 2020: We posted this promise with a video on Instagram. our first ever post - a commitment we've been trying to live up to ever since.

Learning about Nature and endangered animals as a way of passing time in lockdown.

Making bracelets with the kids

This is the Koala with her little black nose - our hobby, making beaded bracelets that look like endangered animals. Each one capturing the colours and spirit of a species at risk of extinction.

BANDS OF COURAGE CREATED

Posted our promise on Instagram and set up a market stall at our local weekend beach market as 1st Lockdown lifted. Things didn't always go to plan! Washed out more than once.

We created our 1st Climate Change collection, COP 26, for the 2020 COP that was delayed to late 2021.

RETIRE & RETURN

We retire from the markets injured and return later in the year with help from our community. Charms of Courage was born on the living room sofa, literally!

Bead's Rule

We decide to make our own ocean-proof stainless steel gold and silver beads, that we would also engrave to write messages on our bracelets.

Rabbit Holes

With our supply chain now set up, we open a huge shop 10 feet from our weekend market stall. Another adventure, this time to become shop keepers.
