Koalas are very contrary animals! They are not bears, they are ‘marsupials’ - animals who carry their young in a belly-pouch, and baby Koalas are called Joeys. Koalas are native to Australia and they don't drink ('Koalas' is actually the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders' word meaning 'no drink'), and the food they eat, gum leaves, are poisonous! Laws forbid them from being kept as pets anywhere in the world because of their diet, still, there is little point as they sleep up to 22 hours a day!
There used to be millions of Koalas and its thought could be as few as 43,000 left today. Despite being ‘vulnerable’ to extinction there aren’t any laws in force protecting their environment although many are trying to help.
Your band creates jobs for the artisans who made it, and jobs for people who planted your trees; your trees provide a home for animals & recycle CO2 to combat global warming. We can't do this without you, in William Shakespeare's words,'Thanks. And thanks and ever thanks. . . '

Amur Leopards
Found only in China and Russia, Amur Leopards are the rarest cats in the world with 84 living in the wild today. Deforestation and poaching explain why this beautiful cat faces extinction. Adapted to the cold, their tongues have rasps on them so they can scrape meat off the bones of the prey and their spotted coats, normally an inch long in summer, grow to 3 inches to protect them against the arctic cold. Their extra long tails help them balance, they can leap over 20 feet and run at speeds of up to 37 miles per hour.
Leopards
Our gold, beige and black bracelet has a hint of yellow and seeks to capture the essence of these graceful and powerful cats.Leopards are, in many ways, the ultimate cats - they are 100 times larger than your domestic cats and a hundred times more powerful! Not a kitty you'd want in your living room! There are less than 15,000 Leopards of all types left in the world spread across several species. Their greatest threat is loss of habitat as agriculture expands into the highlands, mountains and jungles where they live - Deforestation! Leopards are solitary creatures and each one marks out its own wide territory. Our Leopard set begins with a remarkable species - the Amur leopard, a type of Snow Leopard. Enjoy wearing these wonderful creatures!
