The Snow Leopard

The Snow Leopard is a solitary cat living at altitudes over 4,000 metres above sea level on steep cliffs and mountains where their habitats are under threat from Climate Change and global warming - they live in the snow and its disappearing! 

Snow Leopards are built to live in freezing conditions - their fur grows up to 12 cms (5 inches) in length and their tails, which can be over a metre long, are designed like scarves to keep them warm as they nestle in the snow. Their feet are, of course, designed like snow shoes.

Measuring up to 5 feet in length and weighing up to 500 pounds, Snow Leopards are more closely related to Tigers than leopards. That said, they cannot roar and their meow is described at a high pitched piercing yow which can be heard for miles.

There are somewhere between 4,000 and 6,500 Snow Leopards left in the world and the combination of Climate Change and deforestation caused by agriculture are bringing these beautiful cats into ever greater contact with humans - and the rest is history! Snow Leopards are no match for mankind.

Uluru

Uluru is the aboriginal name of one of Australia's most sacred indigenous sites, and the symbolic heart of the Australian continent. It was created 600 million years ago and used to lie at the bottom of the sea, a sea which is now desert. It is a single rock measuring almost 350 metres in height and is believed to have been created by 10 ancestors or spirit people. Today it continues to be home to spirits which is why climbing Uluru is no longer allowed.

Our terracotta, pink and gold glass bracelet is a tribute to this historic monolith with its pink flashes evokes the femininity of the planet we so often call Mother Earth together with the black and gold bands which signify the regal authority of a symbolic heart. Uluru is a home and a symbol of Australia's historic heart. 

Uluru's terracotta colour is reflected in our two bracelets celebrating this awesome landmark, and so appropriate. Terracotta literally means 'baked earth' and is a truly appropriate reference to our planet in the 21st century.  Bee Population

There are over 20,000 species of Bees, but don't let that fool you, the total population has declined by over 87% in last few years thanks to fewer flowers, deforestation, and pesticides. We are destroying their habitats, yet bees are responsible for pollinating crops that make up about a third - 33% - of all the food we eat. And they work hard! Bees fly the equivalent of 3x around the world to produce 1 Kg of honey and they must visit almost 500,000 flowers to produce that Kg of honey! 1 bee alone only produces 5 grams or 1 teaspoon of honey in their lifetime - so it takes the lives of 200 bees to produce 1 Kg of honey! It takes 4,000 bees to weigh 1 Kg. And bees are tidy, they clean and groom each other and the hexagonal honeycomb is the most efficient shape in the world. We may cease to be without our hardworking bees!

Heart Reef 

This unique bracelet is inspired by Heart Reef, a naturally formed coral reef creating an island in the shape of a heart found on Australia's Great Barrier Reef. The only heart shaped reef in the world, it measures just 17 meters across. Heart Reef is a living animal made up of trillions of tiny polyps living within the calcium corals, which look like flowers, or 'the rain forests of the seas' as they are often called. When sea temperatures rise 1 degree or more above average, the animal polyps are shocked and forced to leave their coral skeleton home. 90% of the coral skeleton's food is provided by it's resident polyps and if the polyps are away too long the reef starts to bleach and then die! Climate Change is heating the seas, its changing weather patterns and therefore ocean currents, upsetting order within the oceans, and too often killing lifeforms which can't adapt fast enough. Taking over 200 million years to form, this iconic Australian reef is a symbol of enduring love.

J'ADORE The Polar Bear

This is a set of three bands, The Polar Bear, The Great Barrier Reef and the hand embroidered J'ADORE fabric band. They are all hand made by artisans using tempered glass and 24K gold plated beads.  

The Polar Bear and Great Barrier are available in two styles, stretch elastic or adjustable cotton

The Stretch styles measure 17cm / 6.5 inches in length. The adjustable bracelets uses toughened cotton and fits any size of wrist between 13 cm (5.2 inches) and 24 cm (9.5 inches). 

J'ADORE measures 33cm / 13 inches in length and is worn by tying a double knot to fit. To fit to size, the length can be trimmed with scissors. Always cut at an angle to minimise fraying of the cotton. 

Gift packaging & 30 trees planted

This set comes in its own drawstring fabric pouch together with a planting certificate for your 30 trees. Enough trees to allow you to breathe Carbon Free for Life! You can address your certificate personally (by hand) which explains how your trees combat global warming to help people and animals alike.
