Black Jaguars, Black Panthers, and Black Leopards are all the same animal and which is called the “Ghost of the Forest” because of their color and stealth. Not only are they incredibly beautiful, Black Jaguars are supreme triathletes and can swim, run and climb trees with equal grace and ease. And, if that wasn’t enough, the Jaguar has the most powerful jaws of all the big cats including Tigers. With so much going for them, is it any surprise that by one means or other (deforestation being prime among them) humans have now reduced the global population of Black Jaguars to less than 600!

Bagheera
Our brightly coloured black, green, red and gold banded bracelet seeks to capture the look and character of Bagheera, the Black Jaguar who features in the Jungle Book. The bracelet seeks to capture the character of an elegant and beguiling preditor.
Our bands are named after endangered animals as a mark of respect and to raise awareness of their impending extinction. Written in the 19th century, the Jungle Book is an apt subject for us is a story of people and animals living side by side in the jungles of India. It shows how each helps the other and our Jungle Book set celebrates the joyful connection between people, animals and trees (the forest). It's one of our favourite stories and reminds us just how how important our link or band with Nature is - as Leo Tolstoy said "One of the first conditions of happiness is that the link between Man and Nature shall not be broken".

Snow Leopards
The 4,000 Snow Leopards now left on our planet are scattered across 12 different countries! They live alone, which is why there isn’t a name for a group of Snow Leopards, and individual territories can measure up to 1,000 square kilometres! Snow Leopards are most closely related to Tigers, but they can't roar and instead they chuff, growl, hiss, and mew. Snow Leopards grow up to 4 feet long, with 3 foot long tails, and weigh up to 100 pounds, a third of the size of a Green Sea Turtle! For their size, Snow Leopards are incredibly powerful and can leap distances of up to 50 feet and 20 feet up into the air. Built to live in the harshest of mountainous environments, global warming is changing their habitat reducing the numbers of animals, their prey, on which Snow Leopards depend for food. Your trees combat global warming to preserve the Leopard's snowy habitats. Thank you for helping these gorgeous very furry cats!
