This gold satellite necklace joins our small but growing collection of gold jewellery. The necklace measures 45 cm (18 inches) in length and both the chain and the lobster clasp are 18K gold plated.

The Blue Whale & its Heart

Blue whales are the loudest and largest of all animals on earth. They make more noise than a jet engine and their hearts the size of a car weighing more than 400 pounds! Their hearts can be detected more than 2 miles away and theAorta (the vein leading to its heart) is 23 cms (9 inches) in diameter - the size of a dinner plate. These magnificent creatures eat four tonnes of food a day.

Rising sea temperatures caused by Climate Change are destroying their diet of Krill. Despite their size they are no match for humans who hunt them remorselessly whilst continuing to destroy their habit, the seas. Our Blue Whale Heart Necklace celebrates the car sized heart of these giants of the sea. 

Description

18K gold plated satellite necklace on a base of Sterling Silver with a gold filled lobster clasp and jump rings. The necklace is 45 cms (18 inches) in length including the clasp. The pendent hearts are made of sterling silver with 18K gold plate.

The necklace is offered in three variants:-

- with a Royal Blue heart;

- with a Turquoise Heart;

- necklace alone.
